Web Usability

Web Usability consists of just making sure that your web site works well and is easy to use for a person of average ability and experience. The only way to really know is to test it.

We select 3 people who are representative to your target market, we hire them to come to our lab and we ask them to relay to us out-loud what their reactions are to your web site as they are navigating it. The sessions are recorded in audio and video. We also record your target market's mouse clicks on the screen as they are interacting with your web site. All the sessions are then converted in Flash files. All computers today come with a Flash reader so you should not have any problems viewing the files that we send you by email. The Sessions also come with specific recommendations as to what to do in order to improve your website's effectiveness in the light of what we learned from the tests.

This test usually uncovers certain simple elements in your web site that hurts the rate at which you convert your visitor into a buyer (conversion rate):

Unclear navigation,
Confusing instructions
A message requiring too much thought from the user
A call to action that does not catch the eye at the right place
Other elements

Conversely, knowing the drawbacks in your web site and fixing them can enormously boost your conversion rate, sometimes by several hundreds of percentage points.
